Small Business Success Stories - The Creative Broker

Hear how other small business owners found success (and cleaned up a few messes along the way).

We want to hear from you! Tell us about how your small business became a success, or the mistakes you learned from. Was there a BIG idea that started it all? Is there a piece of advice that you wish you could share with other small business owners? How did you promote your business on a budget?

"I really love taking an idea, putting it into action and seeing it through to the final stages, which is really what event planning is all about. Taking a non-profit and providing the consistency of professional staff, membership services, and watching it grow is like running a bunch of small businesses that complement each other under one umbrella. The best piece of advice I have ever received is to hire people who are smarter than you are and network, network, network. I would also advise other small business owners to take the time to pay attention to the financial details. Make sure to have a good CPA who can share reports with you on your P& L, which really helps keep your decisions based on business rather than emotional."
